龚自珍作为半殖民地、半封建社会的"最初"一位诗人、思想家,他的诗、词、文,以鲜明的风格特色、经世致用的进步内容,揭开近代文学的序幕。他的诗、词作品中,既始终有一条不变的爱国主义的情志主线,同时还有一条情志发展演变的轨迹,即青年时的豪情壮志,中年时的悲情愤志,晚年时的哀情颓志。诗人用一箫一剑铸就了自己丰富的精神世界。

As the first poet and thinker in semi-feudal and semi-colonial society, Gong Zizhen raised the curtain on modern literature by his poem, ci and article with individual character of clear style and advanced contents of practice. In his poem and ci, there are not only line of patriotism, but also line of sentiment development. The evolution track of sentiments is lofty sentiments and high aspiration in youth, sad sentiments and detest aspiration in middle age, and grieved sentiments and dejected aspiration. The poet cast his spirit with one xiao and one sword.
