举世瞩目的十六大的胜利召开 ,对我国和我党今后的发展将产生深远而广阔的影响。为此 ,我们有必要对十六大所总结的我国在十三届三中全会以来的 13年间的 10条经验和全面实现小康社会的宏伟目标、将“三个代表”重要思想确立为党的指导思想、所制定的内外政策和应对措施以及选举以胡锦涛同志为总书记的中央领导集体四个方面对十六大的历史地位进行科学的论述。

The successful opening of the Party's 16th National Conference has a far-reaching influence on the future development of the Party.So it is quite necessary for us to discuss its historic significance:to summarize ten experiences in the past thirteen years since the Third Plenary Session of the 13th Central Committee of the party; to raise a grand goal to build a comfortably-off society;to establish Three Representatives as the Party's guiding ideology and formulate domestic and foreign policies and measures;and to elect the central leading group with Hu Jintao as general secretary.
