It is a new summer coming which is a good reason for manufacturers of ice cream. In addition to some senior players like Nestle, Walls, Beijing Sanyuan Food Co Ltd, a well-known local diary products manufacturer has launched its ice cream business. Sanyuan will invest heavily in the ice cream business with sales volume reaching 150 million Yuan (US$18.1 million) next year, mostly from sales in such large cities as Beijing, Guangzhou and Shanghai. Relying on their advanced nationwide network of milk sales, leading domestic brands are in a better position than foreign ones to be highly competitive.
