Digital watermarking is a hot research field both domestically and internationally,but interdisciplinary characteristics of it impose some difficulties on research domain.So it is necessary to select a proper tool.Taking its application into account,this paper introduces an efficient and practical tool---MATLAB that is adapted to digital watermarking research,conducts functions for watermarking research.How to apply MATLAB to digital watermarking technology is presented by an example.
