工薪阶层渐入佳境 市场发育尚须引导──国内珠宝拍卖市场回顾

摘要 To certain extent, achievements of jewellery auction is a barometer of consump-tion and collection of jewellery and gem in China. There are two clear treadsin the jewellery auction markert in recent years. One is the auction oriented tothe salary class and without bottom line price, the other is that quality jade andsemi-gem are favoured by collectors.The paper believes that the domestic auction market is still lag behind theinternational jewellery auction market. The difference reflects two of the urgentissues to te settled in the domestic jewellery market.The first issue is market cultivation. general consumers’ understanding of auc-tion is limited to emerald bangle worth millions, or diamond ring of dozenthousands Yuan, and those superficial phenomena of millions-Yuan deals, as aresults, simply excluding themselves from auctions,which is a misleading ofpropaganda. and a reflection of week propaganda and poor cultivation. Thesecond is jewellery industry itself needs to update its concepts. The rich cultureof gem and jewellery is not fully explored, and for jewellery design, there arenot enough cares from human culture and the industry itself. The jade sculptureart still sticks on the programmes and technology of Ming and Qing Dynasties,i.e.,"Patterns must be meaningful,and meanings are always lucky and happy".
