A brief introduction is made on the commonly used field_flashing methods for generator and their shortcomings. Stress is put on the introduction of the new field_flashing method with auxiliary field_flashing by charge and discharge of electrolytic capacitor. This new method is characterized by simple wiring and reliability, and has been successfully utilized in several power plants.
