摘要
基于二维分布衍射光栅与平面波导概念,提出了基于二维分布阵列波导光栅的光波分复用器/解复用器。光波分复用器/解复用器利用二维衍射光栅的波长变化下光波的衍射路径由两个方向的色散值矢量合成决定这一特性,同时适当地控制其自由谱范围特性的设计,使其具有二维光波分分布特性,从而可以在输入和/或输出端设计二维输入/输出通道,大大增加波分复用与解复用的通道数的设计能力。对器件的特性与应用进行了讨论。
Based on the concepts of the 2-dimension diffraction grating and the planar waveguide array, a novel optical multiplexer/demultiplexer (Mux/Demux) employing the 2-dimension arrayed-waveguide grating is proposed. Since the direction of the diffraction route is determined by the vectorial combination of the dispersion values in two directions, the 2-dimension wavelength demultiplexing can be realized by properly controlling the values of the free spectral ranges. Then the input and output accessing ports of the Mux/Demux can be set in 2 dimensions, with which the capability to design high-channel-count optical Muxs/Demuxs is improved. The properties and the possible applications of this Mux/Demux are discussed in this paper.
