By the analysis of the data of dozens of practical logging wells, in the aim of solving the problem that by-hand logging was difficult to adapt to new drilling technology development, the paper introduced in detail the comparing advantages of SLXL-2 small size logging unit over by- hand logging. Combining with examples, the author expounded the functions of quickly and accurately finding oil gas zones, improving target zone sticking precision, determining drilled well depth, guiding drilling and protecting oil gas zones. The practice showed, the unit has wide spreading using value in the development wells.
