Social Transition and Educational Reform——An Analysis of Dewey’s Educational Notion of Pragmatism

从 19世纪末 2 0世纪初美国社会发展的基本情况入手 ,分析了杜威实用主义教育思想产生的时代背景和在此背景之下杜威实用主义教育思想的基本理论观点 :重视“经验” ,倡导儿童和知识相统一以及重视活动。

In the light of the American society from the end of 19th century to the beginning of 20th century,this paper analyzed the historical background for the emergence of Dewey’s educational notion of pragmatism and its basic idea:to pay attention to “experience”and “activities”and to seek unity of children and knowledge.
