摘要
隐喻作为一种语言现象,融会在英语的各个层次中。本文以词汇层次的隐喻为分析点,从语法构成角度对其归类并举例,探讨隐喻与大学英语阅读中词汇的正确理解与欣赏之间的关系,表明大学英语学习过程中把握该语言现象的重要性。
As a language phenomenon, metaphors permeate the language of English. Categorizing them by their grammatical construction with examples, the article analyzes metaphors at the lexical level, and demonstrates how metaphors are important in comprehending and appreciating the word-meaning in college English reading. It then concludes that it is of importance to master this language phenomenon in college English learning.
