Objective To probe the effect of probiotics on preventing translocation of bacteria and endotoxin from the gut. Methods A modle of 30% Ⅲ° TBSA scald rats of 100 were divided randly into normal control(NC),burn control(BC),treatment of probiotics. Biopsies were made to observe of cecum mucosal microflora, changes of sIgA in intestinal mucas. Results Compared that group NC the quantities of Bifidobacteria were not fifferent in probiotics, while in groups BC were reduced (P<0.01).Quantities of yeast and E.coli in group BC were significantly increased. The levels of sIgA in group probiotics were high at any term, while in group BC were significantly low in all term. Conclusions After severe burns, microbes and microbial products, including endotoxin, might across the insulted gut mucosal barrier to cause systemic infection.Bifidobacteria significantly low,E.coli and Yeast were increased, probiotics were useful in improving the situation, however probiotics functions more early and more validly.
