The SA8000 Certification:Challenges and Opportunities for the Development of Chinese Enterprises

SA8000标准是随着经济全球化以及人们的文明程度不断提高而出现的,它反映公众关注社会意识的增强,要求企业在生产时不仅考虑到眼前的效益,还应对其员工、对利益相关者承担一定的社会责任。SA8000是一个自愿标准,它不是依靠政府力量来实施的,不属于贸易壁垒。SA8000旨在通过有道德的采购活动改善全球工人的工作条件。推行SA8000标准为我们改善劳动关系,促进劳工保护提供了契机。

The SA8000 system came into being as a result of the economic globalization and the ever improving human civilization which reflects the improved awareness to keep their eyes on the society of the public. Thus higher demands are put forward by the public to the corporations demanding them to be partially socially accountable to their employees and stakeholders in their consideration of the short-term interest of their daily operations. The SA8000 system is a voluntary criterion which is not enforced by the government therefore should not be classified as a trade barrier. The purpose of the SA8000 system is to improve the working conditions of workers on a global basis with the morally acceptable purchasing activities. The introduction of the SA8000 criterion proffers us with the opportunity to improve labor relationships and contributes to better labor protection.
