Spa tourism resort is a newly emerging tourism item.Based on a number of demonstrative survey and literature summaries,the paper makes a comprehensive analysis of the main factors that influence the development of spa tourism.These factors include:the comprehensive quality of spa resources,natural and humane landscapes,environment,tourism-generating market and transportation,developing level of regional economy,cultural feature of spa tourism,spatial agglomeration and competition as well as the behavior of decision-makers.These factors influence the development of spa tourism through location choice and developing special features.
