Two forms of equivalent circuit for an induction motor with a composite rotor are presented and the expressions for all the circuit parameters are given. The practical form equivalent circuit is clear in physical meaning and good in computation accuracy. Computed results based on the practical equivalent circuit agree well with those measured on a prototype machine.
