The significance comprehensively utilizing titanium-bearing blast furnace slag is briefly related the acquired achievements in comprehensive utilization of furnace slag are summarized, and the retained questions are discussed. The selective precipitation theory and the new developments of the study on comprehensive utilization of titanium-bearing blast furnace slag are introduced and it is considered that selective precipitation technique is an effective approach to solving the comprehensive utilization of furnace slag.
