This paper analyzes present situation of application,management and maintenance and evil of decentralized maintenance and favourable conditions of centralized maintenance of professionali-zation for retarder.It expounds the view point that centralized maintenance of professionalization is inevitable trend of development for maintenance system of retarder and discusses problems raised and methods solving the problems during the transition from decentralized maintenance to the centralized maintenance of professionalization and steps of carying out the centralized maintenance of professionali-zation.
