分析了实时以太网应用需求,针对工业控制网络的通信特点,提出了制定基于以太网、TCP/IP协议的应用层服务和协议规范的必要性。介绍了EPA实时以太网的技术特点和标准化情况。

Based on the analysis of the application demands for Real-time Ethernet (RTE), aimed at the communicate characteristic of industrial control network, the necessity of define application service and protocol based on Ethernet and TCP/IP protocols for RTE is presented in this paper. The technology features and standardization for EPA-based Real-time Ethernet is also introduced.
