A new organic reagent,N-allyl-N'-(so- dium 4-naphthalenesulfonate)thiourea,has been synthesized by the reaction of allylisothiocya- nate with sodium 1-naphthylamine-4-sulfo- nate in high yield and its properties have been studied.Its possible use in analytical chemistry is as a complexing reagent for Ag^+ and a de- tecting reagent for Fe^(3+) and Bi^(3+) in acidic solution.
