The knock testing unit is a kind of special equipment used to test the knock characteristics of motor fuels by the research octane number and motor octane number. In this paper, the maintenance process and top operating overhaul program of the ASTM-CFR engine have been summarized. The experience of maintenance and service is also introduced.
