On September 21, the US Senate Select Committee on Intelligence approved Porter Goss to be the director of Central Intelligence Agency.
Porter Goss received his Bachelor's degree from Yale University in 1960. He started his career as an agent working for CIA but in the name of US Army case officer. Before this nomination, he is the Florida representative, chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.
Republicans described him as 'a leader with deep experience in intelligence matters and
anti-terrorism' while Democrats described him as 'a partisan' and his nomination 'with strong political intension'.
