National Spirit and Cultural Identification

文化认同的重建,意味着文化共同体对世界和自我的重新定义,意味着文化共同体发展战略的重新定位。中华民族的现代复兴,包含着时代认同和民族认同两个性质不同的认同重建。对民族精神的肯定,必然要求从文化的民族性方面对中华文化的全部历史予以总体肯定。从文化认同的角度看,中国马克思主义不但有鲜明的时代性,也有鲜明的阶级性和民族性。要使马克思主义在中国长期扎根,就必须妥善解决马克思主义中国化的问题,并实现马克思主义的理论转型,即由一种革命理论转向一种建设理论。在当前,坚持马克思主义不动摇,就是要在人类普遍利益的指导下更好地实现民族和国家利益。

Rebuilding of cultural identification means that the cultural community redefines the world and self and reformulates the strategy of development. Modern renaissance of China involves two different identification rebuildings——identification of age and identification of nation. Affirming national spirit requires an overall affirmation of the whole history of Chinese culture from cultural nationality. In the perspective of cultural identification, Chinese Marxism shows a striking characteristic of age, class and nation. To ensure a long-term existence of Marxism, we must make Marxism Chinese and realize Marxist theoretical transformation, i.e., from a theory of revolution to that of development. At present, we should stick to Marxism and realize national and state interests under the guidance of human common interests.
