The importance of the Life Cycle Cost technique has been discussed. The four reasons for the unpopularity of the LCC technique application have been summarized first. The problems that restrain the application of the LCC technique have been analyzed in detail in four aspects i.e. the understanding of LCC, the presentation of the problems, the data for analysis and the method and model of analysis. Recommendations in nine aspects, explaining how to make use of the LCC technique have been described also.
