The development of regional power market is an important link for deepening electric power restructuring. As one of the two pilot points of regional power market in China, the simulative operation of the East China power market (ECPM) is attracting much attention. The profile of the East China Power Grid and the development process of the ECPM were introduced and the selection of framework mode for the ECPM was discussed. The result of the simulative operation of the ECPM was deeply analyzed and the profound reason of the monthly bidding result was discussed tentatively and finally some suggestions and recommendations were put forward in the end.
