The oxygen transport in gel valve-regulated lead-acid batteries

摘要 阀控式铅酸(VRLA)蓄电池中氧传输过程可分两种:水平传输和垂直传输。在对胶体VRLA电池的研究中发现:电解液饱和度对氧传输方式有着重要影响,当饱和度高于91 5%时,传输方式以垂直传输方式为主;当饱和度低于91 5%时,以水平传输为主。与AGM隔板VRLA电池相比,胶体VRLA电池更有利于氧的水平传输。 In the valve-regulated lead-acid (VRLA) batteries, oxygen was transported in the horizontal or vertical directions. The behavior of the oxygen transport had been investigated in gel VRLA batteries. It was found that the electrolyte saturation affected the oxygen transport.The horizontal transport was dominat when the saturation was lower than 91.5% while the vertical transport was dominat when it was higher than 91.5%. Compared with AGM separator VRLA batteries, the gel VRLA batteries were more beneficial to the horizontal oxygen transport.
