The preparation of activated carbon fiber with different precursors, and its characteristics and application are reviewed in detail. Activated carbon fiber (ACF) is produced from organic fiber precursors in different ways. ACF has excellent absorption properties because of its unique pore structure and surface chemistry structure. As a new type of high performance absorbent, ACF is widely used for environment technologies.
