A new type warp-knitted surgical mesh for tension-free hernia repair is fabricated from PP monofi- lament. There are some advantages that used PP monofilament. It doesn′t disturb the normal dissection, has no suture tension, simple to apply, quick operation, little suffering ,doesn′t restrict movement strictly, and lower recrudescence. The mesh fabricated from PP monofilament yarn has a better total porosity percentage, a better burst strength, doesn′t hide bacterium, better biological compatibility, lower infection ratio, easy fixture, and better capability for new tissue to enter.
