摘要
Swain认为,语言的"输出"与语言的"输入"同等重要,"输出"同样能够促进语言的习得.并因此提出了"输出"的三个功能.根据这一理论,作者指出EFL的习得离不开语言输入,更离不开语言的输出.输出可以在很大程度上促进课堂教学的效果,从而改善学习者的外语习得状况.因此,大学英语的课堂教学应该是以"输出"为中心的语言实践课.
Swain states that comprehensible output is just as important as comprehensible input; she believes comprehensible output can promote acquisition and therefore puts forth three functions of the output. On the basis of these points, the author argues that acquisition cannot be achieved without either input or output and classroom teaching should be output-oriented.
