The work of labor unions in colleges and universities is an important component of the socialist education cause with Chinese characteristics. In this new age, labor unions, with “three represents” as the guideline, should help strengthen the Party's administrative competence, take up the obligation to protect staff's legal interest, focus their work around colleges' main tasks, and help colleges to make contributions to the development of both society and economy.
