As a religious leader, Zhao Pu-chu was famous for his patriotic enthusiasm and worldly, peaceful Buddhism, maintaining that religion must be adaptable to our socialist construction. This thinking not only includes Buddhism into the cause of Chinese style socialism but also gives a better understanding of Buddhist development under the condition of a new historical era, thus being benefit to our comprehending of the positive, interactive developing relations between belief, society, politics, culture and learning.
