摘要
从外部环境即办刊方式、同行评议、编辑筛选、合作者的责任以及实践检验等方面,分析讨论了美国朗讯科技公司(LucentTechnologies)贝尔实验室(BellLabs)的年轻物理学家J.H.舍恩(JanHen drikSchon)造假案件产生的缘由,指出了杜绝造假的关键是科学人(Science man)加强自身道德修养,严以律己;除此之外,建立健全监督保障体系如改革同行评议等至关重要,同时作为科学守门人的编辑,责任重大。
Serious misconduct,such as Jan Hendrik Schon faking data,is rare.Bell Labs,Lucent Technologies,released the committee of investigating Jan Hendrik Schon affair a report(127 pages) in late September 2002.The committee had concluded that Jan Hendrik Schon had committed scientific misconduct in 16 of those cases.Why did the Schon affair happen in Bell Labs? What is responsibility of research-paper coauthors,editors and referees? Why were a string of papers faked by J. H. Schon published in 2000～2001 in famous maganizes such as Science,Nature,and Applied Physics Letters? These questions are analyzed by rethinking.Editors responsibility is importment except science-man should heithen oneself professional ethics and make rules and set procedures,because editors are sciences gate-keepers.
