An overall account of the behavior of the licensed 300MW type steam turbine, during its nearly 20 years of operation, is presented, together with the problems that have been observed. The cause of their appearance is discussed from the point of view of design, manufacture, installation, operation and maintenance, together with measures of improvement and perfection that have been taken and which have rendered satisfactory results.
