道德主情主义的合理性及限度

Rationality and Limitations of Moral Emotionalism

主情主义有其内在的合理性。情感不是逻辑,却反映了道德生活的逻辑。情感为人提供了道德需要的泉源与动力支撑。主情主义又有其先天的缺弊。情感的多变性、情境的多样性以及因人而异的特征,都会使主情主义缺乏任何终极标准从而难以担保道德判断的一致性进而滑入相对主义的渊薮。以整合的视域对道德多元视景予以统驭方能寻绎道德的本质与要害。

Emotionalism has its inherent rationality. Emotion is not logic, but it reflects the logic of moral life. Emotion provides source and motive power for people's emotional need. Emotionalism also has its innate defect. The changeability of emotion, the diversity of emotion, and individuality will all cause a lack of ultimate standard in emotionalism. As a result, consistency in moral judgment can not be guaranteed , and thus fall into relativism. Only by taking the perspective of integration to study the diverse fields of morality can we seek the essence and crucial point of morality.
