Discusses the impacts of network on political cognition,including the discontinuing cognition of mainstream political culture, rarefying nation/state consciousness, lack of sense of political responsibility and alienation from realistic politics. Some countermeasures are therefore discussed, such as optimizing the off-net social environment, deepening the restructuring process to develop social productive forces, strengthening the establishment of socialistic spiritual civilization construction and laying stress on political practice. The political behavior shall play a more important role in network development which shall be utilized to keep the mainstream political culture going on and perfect the laws and policies for the network itself, with the ethic constraint on network focused on. In addition, the international cooperation shall be strengthened further to foster the multicomponent political cognition and developmental equality.
