Notes on words in Gao Seng Zhuan

《高僧传》是南朝梁慧皎所写的一部僧人传记。它包举了二百五十七个僧人,是佛教史上的重要著作。同时,《高僧传》也是研究汉语史特别是汉语词汇史的重要语料,对研究南北朝汉语词汇有重大的价值。本文记录了《高僧传》中的"一往"、"去来"、"叉指"、"偏局"、"藉(籍)"、"应时"、"同意"共七个大型词典未收的新词以待就教于方家。

Gao Seng Zhuan written by Hui Jiao in Liang Dynasty,is a monk biography that includes 257 monks. The work, which has great value in Buddhism history, is important linguistic corpora in Chinese history especially in Chinese vocabulary history and has important value on research of words in Liuchao. In this paper, the author tries to give linguistic explanations of seven words,which cannot be found in large Chinese dictionaries, or which need further discussions in aspects of items and definitions.
