Women's organizations were important social powers in late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China. With advanced women highbrows as their members, these organizations were symbols of women's liberation in China. Influenced by the economic and political situation and foreign advanced thoughts, these educated women set up a number of women's organizations to struggle for women's liberation. Therefore, the establishment of the organizations is a joint effort of all social powers.
