王彬彬教授在所著《毛泽东与中国古代小说》一文中 ,避而不谈马克思主义信仰及中国共产党的革命理想和革命实践对毛泽东的影响 ,却奢谈中国古代小说在政治、文化、军事、经济等多方面对毛泽东产生的影响 ,以至说毛泽东领导中国革命的重大行动都是受中国古代小说的影响的结果 ,在客观上起到贬低毛泽东、贬低毛泽东思想、贬低毛泽东对中国革命的伟大功绩的作用。

In the article of Mao Zedong and Chinese Ancient Stories, Prof.Wang Binbin worked at full stretch on the effects of Chinese ancient stories concerning politics, culture, military affairs and economy, etc, on Mao Zedong,hardly touching on the influences of the Marxist belief and the revolutionary ideal of the Chinese Communtist Party.The essay concluded that Mao Zedong’s leadership of Chinese Revolution was attributable to the teaching of Chinese ancient stories. This delusion is evidently an objective belittlement of Mao Zedong himself, Mao Zedong thoughts,and Mao Zedong’s grand contributions to Chinese Revolution.
