“什么是民间文学” ,这是似乎早已解决而其实又没有真正解决的问题。以往关注的是民间文学的文学或文化属性 ,而对其生活属性往往视而不见 ,因而对民间文学的口头性、集体性、变异性和传承性四个基本特征的认识并不全面。“表演理论”和“口头程式理论”
The question of ”what is folklore literature” appears to be an issue that has long been settled but in fact not truly so. What has undertaken of folklore literature before is merely the aspect of literary or cultural property, but not the life side; and even as for the former, the command is far from comprehensive of the orality, collectivity, variability as well as inheritability. In the present paper Performance Theory and Oral Formulaic Theory offer a new interpretation of the property of the folklore literature.
