名刊工程是以高校社科学报品牌建设为核心 ,以发展繁荣哲学社会科学为目的的国家重大出版工程。它以对期刊类群的理性认同为基础实施分类指导 ,匡正高校学报的发展观念 ,突出和激励“名栏”建设。名刊工程入选期刊评审兼具社科期刊评选的创新意义与社科学报的引导功能。评审标准建构了名刊理论模型 。

The engineering of academic journals of reputation is a momentous national publication project focusing upon brand-fame construction of the academic journals of social sciences in colleges and universities to advance and flourish the studies of philosophy and social sciences. It undertakes classificatory guidance of academic journals on the basis of rational identification so as to rectify the development notion of academic journals in institutions of higher learning and to inspire and give prominence to the construction of ”reputed columns”. The examination and selection of those into this project is of both innovation significance and guiding function. The criteria could construct the theoretical matrix of famed journals and the starting point of the selection is right the focus of the project construction.
