我国商业银行规模经济实证研究(1992-2003)

An Empirical Study of Economies of Scale of China's Commercial Banks

本文采用超越成本对数模型,对我国四家国有商业银行和十家股份制商业银行1992-2003年的经营情况进行了实证分析。结果表明,我国商业银行已经从二十世纪九十年代的整体规模不经济改变为如今的整体规模经济。国有银行和股份制银行在规模经济状态和发展趋势方面存在一定的差异。

Based on surmount - cost logarithm model, the paper did an empirical study on the operation of 4 state-owned commercial banks and 10 joint - stock banks during 1992 - 2003. The result shows that China's commercial banks have changed from diseconomies of scale in 1990' s to economies of scale now. However, there are some differences between state - owned commercial banks and joint - stock banks in terms of the scale and development trend. The irrational expansion of joint - stock banks led to degression of their economies of scale.
