"实践—精神"的认知形式是道德认知过程区别于其他认知过程所特有的最高认知形式,也是保证道德能够成为人的生存方式的根本环节。从对伦理思想史的考察中有可能大体上理解和把握以"实践—精神"为方式的道德认知机制。道德认知的功能在于,以道德理想、道德信念、道德修养和道德行为方式为中介,将社会道德应然性及时、恰当、有效地转化为认知—行为主体的道德行为,实现德心与德行的结合,塑造和养成人类的德性,从而以"实践—精神"的方式来把握世界。
