试论汉化视频BIOS

On Making Video BIOS Support Chinese

本文首先比较评价了汉化视频BIOS 的软方法和硬方法,然后论述了汉化视频BIOS 时与图形适配卡相关的问题,把所涉及的图形适配卡的物理特征抽象出来,使得我们所论述的汉化技术与适配卡无关。另外,我们还讨论了实现汉化视频BIOS 的三条途径。最后,对于汉化视频BIOS 怎样利用高分辨率和丰富彩色的适配卡给出了作者的意见。

In this paper we evaluate both software and hardware approaches to making video BIOS support Chinese,and expounds the problems related to video adapter.The physical features are abstra- cted from the video adapter so that what we discuss about Chinesization is oriented to all video ada- pters instead of a specific one.Finally,we give our opinions about how to take advantages of new- coming video adapter with more colors and higher resolutions.
