摘要
Schwann细胞是周围神经系统的主要功能细胞 ,兼有迁移、粘着、产生细胞外基质、形成髓鞘 ,参与周围神经修复的功能和分泌多种神经因子、生物活性物质 ,促进神经元、神经胶质细胞存活、抑制其凋亡的功能。
Schwann cells are main functional cells in the peripheral nervous system which are engaged in migrating, adhering and secreting extracellular matrix molecules as well as forming myelin sheath. After the peripheral nerve injury they are able to perform repairing function and produce a number of factors or bioactive compounds that promote neurons and glial cells survival meanwhile inhibit them from apoptosis. The ability to generate large numbers of Schwann cells in short time should make the best way for the clinical use to treat the diseases of the peripheral nervous system.
