Comparison of LU Xun's Madman's Diary with Gogol's

鲁迅、果戈理《狂人日记》在体裁、形式和表现方法上,虽有某些相同或近似,但鲁迅只是在形式上有所借鉴。两个狂人貌似神殊。就思想内容的深度而言,鲁迅的《狂人日记》是果戈理所难以企及的。二者都采用"以狗喻人",都呼喊"救救孩子",但形同质异,在思想和创作上有着某些本质的区别。

There are some similarities in style, form and expression in LU Xun's Madman's Diary and Gogol's , but LU Xun just makes use of the form in Gogol's as a reference. The two madmen in the two works are similar in form but different at heart. The ideological level conveyed in LU Xun's Madman's Diary is much higher than that in Gogol's . Although both works compare dog to person and call for rescuing children, they are same in the form while different at essence. There are some essential differences in the main idea and the writing style.
