Whose Voice? On “the Other” in Western Feminist Study

西方女性主义是当下西方社会内部的一种声势浩大的社会文化批评话语。值得我们深思的是，其研究中对“她者”的青睐。在这篇论文中，笔者试图通过分析西方的文学作品和非西方，尤其是“第三世界”的女性作品的翻译文本回答以下几个问题：1．西方文学作品与“第三世界”女性作品的翻译文本间是否存在错误的表述?2．西方女性主义研究者为什么将目光投向“第三世界”妇女?

Western feminism is a dominant discourse within the present-day western society that criticizes western culture and society. Its strong interest in the Other calls our attention. In this paper, the author attempts to answer the following questions by analyzing certain western and non-western literary texts, especially translations from “Third World” women's writing: 1. Do misrepresentation and misinterpretation exist in western women's writing and/or translations? 2. In their research, what motivated western feminists to turn their gaze upon the “Third world” women's writings?
