The development of applications for W-Cu composites is introduced in brief. The data of production and use for W-Cu composites in recent 20 years in Japan are described. The characteristics and demands of W Cu composites in main use areas and major progresses in W-Cu manufacture technology lately are reviewed.The current situation on application, production and development of W-Cu composites at home are commented on, and some proposals for development of W-Cu composites in the future are offered.
