美国《医学索引》(IM)是世界著名医学检索刊物,注重各国临床医学研究,包括世界范围内中医药研究文献。根据1994年第1期《IM》所录文献,枚举43个常用中医药主题词,例如“中国传统医学”、“中草药”、“针刺麻醉“、“经络”、“推拿”、“芦荟”、“洋地黄”、’人参”、“曼陀罗”、“槲寄生”等:集149篇各国中医研究论文,探析世界对中医、中药、针灸和推拿的研究动态;并例举大量与中医药相关的主题词.诸如“印度传统医学”、“阿拉伯传统医学”、“可食性植物”、“物理疗法”、“泥疗法”、“运动疗法”和“音乐疗法”等,为读者指出吸收国外传统医学经验的途径。
Index Medicus,a famous search serial in the world, lays stress on research of clinical medicine including different kinds of TCM literature.In the paper,43 subject headings of TCM were selected from Index Medicus V.35,No.1,1994,for instance,“Medicine, Chinese Traditional”,“Drugs,Chinese Herbal”, “Acupuncture Anesthesia”,“Meridian”,“Chiroprac- tic”,“Aloe”,“Digitalis”,“Ginseng”,“Stramonium”. 149 articles were selected to research into the trend of TCM,Chinese herbal medicine,acupuncture and chiropractic around the countries.In addition,there are a lot of subject headings related to TCM in Index Medicus,such as “Medicine,Ayurvedic”,“Medicine. Arabic”,“Mud Therapy”,“Music Therapy”,“Exercise Therapy”,“Physical Therapy”,“Plants,Edible”,which point a way out for readers in gaining traditional medical experiences of other countries
