ZHANG Xian-liang's Novels and the Solving of Self-anxiety

张贤亮的小说对个人历史的重复叙述渗透着他对自我的焦虑。通过对各个时期张贤亮解决该种焦虑的努力的分析,发现作者只能借助外部社会政治话语给予自我的"社会认定性"来解决自我焦虑,而没有个人独立的信仰支撑与精神资源,并认为张贤亮这类作家难以创作出具有持久魅力与经世价值的作品的原因正在于此。

The repeating narrative of self history in Zhang Xianliang's novels reflects the author's self-anxiety. By analyzing the intention to solve such anxiety in the texts, this paper draws the conclusion that the author can only draw support from the self role expectation which is admitted by the social or political discourse and he lacks the spiritual support of a strong belief . It is just for these reasons that such writers as Zhang Xianliang are unable to create great and lasting works.
