摘要
中西书院是一所教会学校 ,以收取学生学费作为办学的主要经费 ,类似于私立学校。中西书院在林乐知、沈毓桂主持期间颇有成效 ,为洋务运动培养了一大批急需的人才。中西书院的教学管理经验是近代教育史上一笔宝贵的财富。
Chinese-Anglo College is a mission school, whose mostly outlay is student's tuition, and it is similarly to private school. It has many outstanding result when Lin Yao-zhi and Shen Yu-gui have been presiding, which cultivates a great deal of imperative talent for Westernization Movement. Its teaching management experience is valuable fortune in the history of modern education.
