Burnt stone is a metamorphic rock that is formed by baking of the country rocks with the high-temperature heat naturally produced from coal beds.The deposit occurs in the upper part of the Jurassic coal-bearing strata.In terms of industrial type,burnt stone is a burnt clay mixed material of artificial volcanic ash.Its natural types are roasted kaolin, burnt breccia,burnt rock and burnt mudstone.Due to its special physical and chemical pro- perties,the burnt stone can be widely applied to mixed material for cement,aluminous material and refractory material and as ornamental stone in gardening.
