Distinguishing Ding Ruchang's Right Deeds from Wrong Ones

通过对丁汝昌提督北洋水师 ,尤其是中日甲午战争爆发至自尽于提督任上这段时间的史料进行梳理 ,来重新探讨丁汝昌对旅顺、威海之失的责任问题 ,并对其“杀身”作出重新的价值评定。

The text re-explores the responsibity of Ding Ruchang, the commander-in-chief of the Baihai Navy in the Qing Dynasty for the fall of Lüshun and Weihai and re-values his“fatal disaster” through carding the historical data concerning the time from the breaking-out of China-Japan Jia Wu War to Ding Ruchang’s suicide.
